Due to ongoing expansion, this organisation has a new vacancy for a Health and Social Care Subject Specialist, who will be responsible for the curriculum design and programme delivery of the Adult Care apprenticeship standards up to level 5 (L2, L3, L4 and L5). Delivering a high quality programme that surpasses stakeholder expectations and strengthens knowledge, skills and behaviours across the sector.

We seeking someone based in the South East of England. It will be a home-based role with travel as required. 
The successful candidate will deliver the end to end learner journey up to the point of EPA. Experience of delivering the new apprenticeship standards is desirable and a formal teaching and assessor qualification essential. 

Applicants must have experience of delivering training in Adult Care, and an extensive work history (5 + years) in the sector.


  • To create an engaging blended learning programme that inspires and motivates learners to improve their knowledge, skills and behaviours in the field of Adult care.
  • Develop a flexible learning programme that accommodates group delivery and 1-1 delivery, offering a digital learning platform in addition to traditional face to face learning opportunities. 
  • Delivers monthly, knowledge based learning modules in accordance with the IFA assessment guidelines. 
  • Conducts regular assessment of learning through a variety of methods. 
  • Creates bespoke learning plans for each individual learner to stretch and challenge their ongoing development.
  • Ongoing curriculum review to ensure it is innovative and impactful.
  • Embeds functional English and maths and digital skills into the curriculum, ensuring upskilling in the key areas.
  • Raises ongoing awareness in areas such as Safeguarding, Prevent, Fundamental British Values, Equality and Diversity and personal development. 
  • Compliments the work of the Account Manager, ensuring regular communication and liaison with employers around the progress of their employees. 
  • Prepares the learner for their end point assessment, conducting mock assessments to ensure readiness. 

  • 5+ years’ experience of working in the Adult Care Sector (Essential)
  • Delivered formal training within Adult care (Essential)
  • Experience in writing programme content (Essential)
  • English and Maths at Level 2 or above (Essential)
  • Assessor qualification (Essential)
  • A teaching qualification (Desirable)
  • I.T – Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages (inc MS Office) 
  • Good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms.
