Our client is an innovative ‘attention technology’ company, using cutting edge eye-tracking techniques to measure the salience and engagement of visual communications.
They are looking for a JavaScript Developer Apprentice to work on their context data acquisition platform(s) – both the front and back end of a JavaScript / dB web application.
Key Duties
You will help them in development of the company’s in-house software that facilitate user behaviour analysis in the context of Human Computer Interaction
This involves inventing novel methods for scalable data acquisition, data mining, data analysis and the best ways to display the resulting dataset back to the user
You will also help to enhance the software to be used in distributed environments. Since they are pioneers in the field, you will help them discover and apply innovative approaches to their existing technology
Finally, you will help to maintain day to day IT affairs of the company
As this is an apprenticeship role – they will offer training on the different JavaScript frameworks that they use plus a route for the right candidate to move onto the more complex aspects of their technical stack
About you
To be a Software Developer Apprentice you will need to be a tech enthusiast with 5 GCSEs (A* – C) including Maths and English.
This 18-month Apprenticeship has a salary of £15,000 – £18,000 per year. You will also receive full training and support from the Just IT Apprenticeship team to increase your skills.
Your training will include gaining internationally recognised Level 4 IT qualifications

Excellent HTML5 and JavaScript (any framework, but at least one)
Experience with Version Control Systems (Git or similar)
You should have excellent understanding of HTML, JavaScript (ES5, ES2015+) – optionally, Typescript, React.js, Vue or similar libraries
